On Dec 19, the Third Congress of the Communist Party of China Liaoning University of Technology was successfully held. On behalf of the Second Committee of the Communist Party of China Liaoning University of Technology, Qian Yingwei delivered a report entitled "Strengthening the Overall Leadership of the Party, Focusing on High-quality Development and Striving to Write a New Chapter in the Construction of High-level Applied Universities with Distinctive Characteristics".
2. The university held a Party history learning and education summary meeting
On January 21, our university held a Party history learning and education summary meeting. The learning and education of the Party history in the university was comprehensively reviewed.
3. New breakthroughs were made in discipline construction and postgraduate education
In 2022, the university anchored the main direction of doctoral authorized units, optimized discipline layout and resource allocation, and promoted the coordinated development and high-quality development of disciplines.
4. Fifteen new first-class undergraduate major construction sites were built, and the quality of talent training was raised to a new level
In 2022, nine majors of our university were selected as national first-class undergraduate major construction sites, ranking first in the number of selection among the universities in Liaoning Province. Six majors were selected as provincial first-class undergraduate major construction sites.
5. Remarkable achievements in scientific and technological innovation
In 2022, our university witnessed a steady increase in the number of longitudinal research projects, including 114 national and provincial research projects.
6. A new level of talent development
Adhering to the strategy of "rejuvenating the university with talents", the university continuously strengthened the introduction of talents, and the structure of the teaching staff was significantly improved.
7. The project of "14th Five-Year Plan" to promote China's Education and the pilot project to apply "5G+ Smart Education" launched fully
On December 12, the foundation laying ceremony of "Virtual Simulation and Verification Training Center of Liaoning University of Technology" was held.
8. The new graduate apartments were put into use
On September 23, the first group of graduate students moved into the newly built apartments.
9. The first enrollment of Software Engineering (Chinese-foreign cooperation)
The Software Engineering Undergraduate Education Program jointly held by Liaoning University of Technology and Pyatigorsk State University of Russia completed the first enrollment and entered the training stage.
10. All the teachers and students worked together to fight the epidemic and overcame the difficulties
