On the afternoon of July 12, our university invited Yang Fuyuan, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor of the College of Vehicles and Transportation of Tsinghua University, to give an academic report entitled “research, development and application demonstration of key technologies for hydrogen energy travel in the Scientific Winter Olympics”. President Wang Qi, Vice President Zhang Guang’an, heads of relevant functional departments, leaders of relevant colleges, some teachers and students attended the meeting of the report. The meeting of the report was presided over by Vice President Zhang Guang’an.
Professor Yang Fuyuan introduced the research progress of the key special project of the national key research and development program “scientific Winter Olympics” –– research, development and application demonstration of key technologies for “hydrogen energy travel” project in detail with wonderful pictures and detailed data. The project was mainly aimed at the major needs of scientific and technological support for the Beijing Winter Olympic Games, focusing on the research on hydrogen energy planning and design in the scenario of Winter Olympic service, the research and development of high-performance hydrogen fuel bus in the scenario of Winter Olympic service, the key technologies and demonstration applications of hydrogen energy production, storage and addition, the demonstration operation of hydrogen fuel bus, the key technologies of hydrogen energy and fuel cell information monitoring platform, the safe travel assurance testing technology of hydrogen fuel bus in the scenario of Winter Olympic service. As the main participating colleges, Professor Guo Yu and Professor Yang Tianming of our university led the relevant teachers of the College of Chemical Engineering, the College of Automobile and the College of Cultural Media and Art Design to participate in the research and development of two sub-projects, including the research and development of high-performance hydrogen fuel bus in the scenario of Winter Olympic service and the demonstration operation of hydrogen fuel bus. After the meeting, Wang Qi, Zhang Guang’an and the heads of relevant departments of our university had a discussion with Professor Yang Fuyuan. Professor Yang Fuyuan fully affirmed the scientific research work of the special research team of “Scientific Winter Olympics” of our university, and highly recognized the construction and talent training mode of Wande Motorcade of our university. This meeting of the report broadened the vision of teachers and students and played a positive role in promoting the specialty construction of new energy vehicle of our university.
Yang Fuyuan, long-term professor of Tsinghua University, teaching director of doctor of engineering, responsible professor of the discipline of hydrogen energy and fuel cell of College of Vehicle, director of Tsinghua University-Toyota hydrogen energy and fuel cell vehicle joint research center, director of China Society of Automotive Engineering and director of engine branch. Professor Yang mainly engaged in new energy power system control and research on hydrogen energy technology. In the past five years, the professor has undertaken one special project of scientific Winter Olympics as the head, one special project of science and technology in the field of national transportation in the 13th Five Year Plan as the head, five projects of 863 plan and two projects of intergovernmental international cooperation as the head of sub-project. Professor Yang won one second prize of National Technological Invention Award (the year of 2007) and one first prize of Beijing Science and Technology Award (the year of 2011). More than 120 papers have been published, including 94 SCI / EI searches, 32 national authorized patents for invention and 9 software copyrights.
